The question seems to be based on the assumption that "all the pretty model" the world a better place. The fact that some people think that something trivial things would do better is a sad statement about our values as society. Societies premium good looks are in a downward spiral and eventually disappear, because they focus their attention and energy on things that help the company further prosperity and progress.
